News articlesIn the period up to 2030, we expect many new laws and regulations on climate and circularity and changes for SME entrepreneurs. Think for example of the rising energy and raw material prices. The new laws and regulations will also influence questions and demands from customers and consumers, the financing of companies, real estate prices, supplies in the city and the use of materials, e.g. in construction.
MKB Den Haag anticipates that the sustainable transition will happen quickly. Well-prepared entrepreneurs seize the opportunities of this transition. MKB Den Haag is committed to informing its supporters about this and helping them with sustainable and circular entrepreneurship.
Our role towards the Municipality of The Hague
MKB Den Haag positions itself as a challenging and enthusiastic discussion partner towards the Municipality of The Hague. We translate the needs of the SME and are happy to contribute to appropriate, appealing communication and solutions in the interest of the city and all entrepreneurs. We currently recognize the following needs:
- A vision on sustainable transition for the city of The Hague. We ask the Municipality of The Hague to show leadership and actively support SME entrepreneurs. Profiling the city of The Hague as a leader in sustainable transition will inspire and energize the business community. We ask the municipality, in addition to implementing legislation and regulations, to approach this sustainable transition proactively and as an opportunity, so that the SME sector in The Hague can remain competitive and future-oriented.
- Clear and proactive communication to entrepreneurs about the expected changes, for example with regard to the EU Green Deal; Fit for 55 and circular plans. A good example of this is the government’s purchasing policy; the Green Deal requires the government to act as an example.
- Interesting attractive initiatives and programs for SMEs , with sufficient budget for communication, advice and, for example, vouchers that support initiatives by SME entrepreneurs.
